Being right in Monopoli’s old town made it easy to reach the main sights on foot. The ground-floor apartment was comfortable for a short visit, with air conditioning and a little kitchen, and the host replied quickly through Booking.com. It did get noisy because of the central spot, and morning light came in early through the curtains. Still, we had a pleasant stay.

The climb up is the hard part: the stairs felt like the steepest and longest I’ve ever encountered. Once there, though, the rooms and balcony were lovely, and the view over the city and water was amazing.

The terraces are on the third and fourth floors, and the apartment itself occupies the second and third. There’s plenty of space for a group, with two bathrooms and all the amenities. It sits close to everything but away from the main tourist route, so it stays quieter. The stairs are narrow and quite steep; after a couple of days, you barely notice them. I’d recommend it.

Being near the center and Cala Porta Vecchia beach was the best part for us. The place has a quaint, modern feel and lots of amenities, including Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The owners were great to communicate with, and let us leave our bags before the 4:00 PM check-in. There are a few little things that could be adjusted, but it’s a good apartment and I’d recommend it.

IL NIDO really lives up to its name, and the location is very convenient. The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and carefully put together, with a layout that makes good use of the space. Mr. Corrado had everything well organized with help from efficient staff. His emails arrived promptly and had useful information we could refer back to. We had a wonderful time and would happily return and recommend it.
