The room was tiny, and the whole stay felt far too rigid. Check-in was limited to 3 pm to 7 pm, with no flexibility, and took place somewhere separate from the property. We only learned that after booking. Guests also have to pay to get their luggage from the check-in spot to the accommodation, which makes this a poor choice for older people or anyone with mobility difficulties. We got just two half-liter bottles of water for a two-night stay, with none on the second day. The coffee machine didn't work, yet they asked us for €5 to store our bags for a couple of hours. I don't know whether that was per person or per suitcase. Hospitality is something else!

That panoramic terrace with the solarium is the real highlight, and it's beautiful to use in the evening too. The location is excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. But our Itaca room was much too small for the price. The bathroom needs updating: water leaked from the shower and from the sink, whose height was awkward. There's no bidet, the toilet paper holder looks like a botched attempt to move it, and the toilet is right up against the shower.

Finding parking in central Monopoli was a bit of a hassle, but once we did, the B&B was really convenient for going out in the evenings. The rooms were spotless, with new furniture, though a little small. We were welcomed warmly. Breakfast was good, but it comes from the bar downstairs, so the choices are limited. Still, I'd recommend it.

Giusy and Vito were warm and helpful hosts, and the renovated building is right in Monopoli's historic center, with everything within walking distance. My only gripe is that breakfast is served at a nearby café rather than at the property itself. It was excellent, though. Highly recommended!
