The room was spacious, had its own bathroom, and was very close to the center, so the location was good. The service, though, was terrible. One morning the door wouldn't open as we were trying to leave. Guests in the next room said they'd already told the hotel and had been waiting for someone to let them out. We waited over an hour too. They didn't answer calls, and when they finally replied to a text, they gave no time for when they'd return. When they eventually came, they didn't apologize and instead blamed us for touching a handle we supposedly shouldn't touch. We suggested putting up a warning if the system was that delicate, but they hadn't done so. The door number system is unreliable and very inconvenient. There were other frustrating details during our five-day stay. We were told at check-in to sort our rubbish into three bags, but had to buy the bags ourselves and leave them on the floor. If guests are expected to recycle, there should be a container with dividers and bags. There was an iron but no ironing board, and a Nespresso machine without a single capsule. Nobody came to clean or change our towels the whole time.

We paid 100 euros a night for four days, and chose the room because it was close to the sea, not because it was "cheap" as you say. The problem is that your description wasn't clear. The bathroom is private, but it's outside the room, opposite a shared kitchen and near two other rooms. It seems hard to admit we complained because of that lack of clarity, and from what I've seen you've had other complaints for the same reason. You don't say it's external, because you know at least Italians wouldn't rent it if they knew. Anyway, thanks, but never again.

The listing doesn't make it clear that the bathroom is outside the room. It's private, but in the corridor between two rooms and the shared kitchen, so going to the toilet can mean finding strangers there. The bathroom has no window and gets unbearably hot. It's hard to believe places are still built with this inconvenience in 2024. The owner talks about technology because entry is through a link instead of a key or card, but if your phone is dead or the connection is poor, you might not be able to get in. I can't recommend this unpleasant experience.
