Masseria Guadiano Vecchio

I’ll definitely return. The Masseria went beyond what I expected, tucked into the beautiful natural surroundings of the Itria Valley. Pierluigi was so kind and helpful, which made the stay even better.

Francesco was incredibly kind and made sure we had what we needed throughout our stay. The grounds are peaceful and green, with lots of space, a well-kept pool, and a tennis court. We even picked figs straight from the tree. Our place had a double bed, a single, and a double sofa bed, plus a kitchenette with a table. There was also our own outdoor table and barbecue spot, and a large bathroom with a washing machine. It’s centrally located, so exploring the area was easy.

The place itself is lovely and the surroundings are beautiful, but our stay was a letdown. We were put in the Bigarreau apartment, which really wasn’t suitable. Two friends had to sleep in a bed smaller than a queen, the water from the bathroom tap wasn’t drinkable even for brushing teeth or washing up, and the cleaning was poor, with big cobwebs and spiders around the house. The owner, Mr. Francesco, was the worst part. He was surly and wouldn’t listen to or answer our requests.

The pool and tennis court are nice, and the property looks beautiful, but the one-bedroom house was a zero for us. It was full of bugs and impossible to live in. The Wi-Fi was another problem, and the sofa bed, advertised as a double, was only a meter wide. When we brought this up, the owner gave us a hard time and slammed the door in our faces.
