The gated road made the villa feel very secure, and there are useful local places nearby, including a bank, a mini market, and a small beach. It’s a little way out of Monopoli, but the accommodation is superb. Our room was spacious and airy, with a great bathroom and a large sun terrace, plus air conditioning if needed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. A very good place to stay.

The apartment was spotless, charming, and beautifully decorated. The hosts welcomed us so warmly that we felt like part of the family, and they helped with everything, from local suggestions and arranging transport to little details. They even let us leave our luggage early and drove us to a lovely restaurant, where we could enjoy a delicious meal while we waited. Finding fresh fruit in the fridge was such a thoughtful surprise. I’ve never experienced such heartfelt kindness and hospitality. I’ll definitely return, for Monopoli’s beauty and for the people who made it feel like home.

The area is polluted and smells of rubbish and burnt stuff. It spoiled our holiday. Avoid.
