Vista Cattedrale

Three of the apartment’s four air conditioning units weren’t working, and the way management handled it made an already uncomfortable stay much worse. We told the concierge early on, but she only said she’d be off shift in 10 minutes, as if that ended her responsibility. No one followed up, sent a technician, offered fans, or suggested another solution. With three of our five guests trying to sleep in 80°F (27°C) heat and high humidity, it was nearly impossible to rest and cast a serious shadow over the trip. For a place marketed as a high-end holiday apartment, failing to deal with such a basic amenity was shocking. In Monopoli during warm months, air conditioning is a necessity. The lack of accountability and support was unacceptable, and it felt as though we were on our own once payment had been made. We wouldn’t recommend Vista Cattedrale to anyone wanting a comfortable, responsibly managed rental.

The apartment was cleaned every day, and we got fresh towels and small bottles of water daily, including on arrival. The owner was kind, gave us all the information we needed about Monopoly and more, and was eager to make our stay pleasant. The apartment is about five minutes from the center, and breakfast was offered at Caffe Roma, a minute away. There we could get coffee and something to eat, like a croissant or a sweet such as pasticciato, a traditional pastry from the area. The layout is spread over three floors. On the first floor there’s a small toilet, a little balcony and a sofa that opens into a bed. To reach the second floor’s main bedroom, you cross the first room and climb the stairs. It has a huge bed and storage closet, plus a large bathroom with a shower. The shower is glass, so you can see from the bed if someone’s inside. A further flight of stairs leads to the kitchen on the third floor, which opens onto a terrace with a nice view over Monopoli and sun beds. The kitchen had a coffee machine, teas, a heating pot, plenty of cooking tools and plates, and a small fridge. The apartment also has its own heating system. I highly recommend Vista Cattedrale. The two terraces looking out over the cathedral made the biggest impression on me. The apartment is spread over four floors, and inside it was spacious, spotless, and stocked with what we needed, including AC and a coffee machine. The bathroom is modern and the finishes feel high quality. We had a memorable stay at Vista Cattedrale in Monopoli, and I’m already thinking about coming back. Highly recommend.
