The homemade jam is what I’ll remember most, even though breakfast was simple. This is a family-run place, and I’ve never stayed anywhere so clean. Mrs. Diana was incredibly kind, accommodated all our requests, and suggested places to visit and eat. The location worked perfectly for us because we were in town for a local sporting event. It’s not close to the sea, though you can get there easily in 10-15 minutes. I loved the taste of simplicity.

I’m giving one star because the place is new and clean, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Our room was so small we could barely move around the bed, and there wasn’t room to set down two large open suitcases. The inexpensive bedding had slats that creaked with even the slightest movement. We also had to ask for another toilet roll since there wasn’t a spare, and the host wasn’t friendly.

We only stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Mrs. Diana welcomed us with such care and helpfulness. The setting is a lovely oasis among olive trees, handy for Monopoli, Polignano, and Alberobello. Breakfast was generous and authentic, with homemade jam, and served on a heavenly veranda (photo).
