B&B Elvira Al Duomo

The breakfasts were superb and beautifully arranged in an elegant living and dining room. We spent four nights here and enjoyed the lovely rooms, each with its own balcony looking over the garden and nearby mountains. The proprietors were very friendly, and there’s private parking. It’s just a few minutes on foot to Monreale’s centre, but the route climbs steeply along a rather unexciting back road, so it may not suit anyone with mobility difficulties. Monreale is a charming little town, and Palermo’s sights are a short bus ride away. Recommended.

The owner is a friendly, chatty local, and the breakfast was delicious. It’s an all-around lovely place, with private gated parking and beautiful balcony views. The walk to Monreale town centre is quick, though uphill. My only complaint was the stiff, somewhat uncomfortable mattress. Hopefully that gets fixed soon.

A lovely place to stay. The room was beautiful, elegant, and clean, with everything you need. Breakfast was good, and they do all they can to make you feel happy. Parking is in the garden. We’ll definitely come back.

The gardens and outdoor spaces are lovely, with Sicilian trees and flowers, terraces, gazebos, and paths leading to the rooms. Inside, the rooms are spacious and traditionally furnished with high-quality decor. Palermo and nearby towns such as Moreale aren’t the idyllic beauty spots the brochures suggest, so arriving at Elvira al Dwomo really lifted my spirits. The proprietors are incredibly hospitable and helpful, doing everything they can to make your stay a great experience. It’s a family business, and they treat you like a loved family guest. A wonderful place to stay while touring the area and getting to grips with Eastern Sicily.
