Blue Dream Hotel

We booked a weekend getaway with low expectations, but the stay ended up making our trip even better. The staff were friendly and smiley, the rooms spacious and elegant, and the dining hall was beautiful. It really did feel like a "dream" 😅. I'd recommend it for a family or friends trip. There's also a pool available in summer!

The breakfast was disappointing, with little variety and fruit served in very small portions despite there being many guests. I travel a lot and have stayed in plenty of hotels without complaints. I'm not demanding, but this one doesn't feel worthy of its 4-star rating. The room felt spooky, with dull grey walls, and the old toilet and bathroom were uncomfortable and unlike what had been advertised. Guests can't boil water in the room and have to ask reception for hot water instead. The queue was extremely long, and I overheard staff speaking rudely to other guests who asked for the same thing. If the hotel wants to keep things simple and comfortable, putting kettles in the rooms, as is standard in 4-star hotels worldwide, would solve this easily.

The room was spacious and neat, but the shower ran very, very slowly. The lifts are old and small. It has the feel of a budget hotel.

The people were great, the rooms a nice size, and the hotel's restaurant was really good. It's easy to walk to the centre from here. My only real downside was the slow WiFi, which you have to sign up for.
