Relais Villa San Bastiano

The 360 degree views are unbelievable. This mountain-top BnB, with its host, room, restaurant, and relaxing, intimate setting, made us feel like heaven on earth was right there. It’s worth the drive and the time it takes to reach. I honestly want to move here, or even buy the place! It would be an ideal spot for weddings, receptions, honeymoons, graduations, parties, and all kinds of gatherings. Those views are impossible to beat.

The staff were so kind and ready to help with any request, and the view is breathtaking. My boyfriend and I stayed at this relais for our anniversary, and loved the quiet, relaxed, romantic atmosphere. A bottle of wine by candlelight with the night view was one example. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, with its panoramic view, were both excellent. Thank you for the warm, family-like welcome that made our weekend special. Thanks to Mr. Furio, his wife and daughter, and everyone there.

At the restaurant next door, which belongs to the same owner, dinner was a real treat: exquisite food with a dreamlike view. The fish dishes stood out, especially the tartare with panzanella and pappa al pomodoro with seafood. The wait staff helped us choose a bottle from the extensive wine list. It certainly isn't cheap, but I think the price is more than fair for the service. Relais Villa San Bastiano sits on a hill above the Tuscan plain, with a unique view, and makes a great choice for a romantic weekend. The host gave us a warm welcome and made sure we felt at ease with friendly conversation. Our room was bright from its large windows and well maintained. The bathroom was clean and functional, though not very big. I would have preferred a more conventional shower, since the one there caused some flooding. Across from the rooms, the hot tub was a lovely place to relax in the quiet nature and listen to the crickets. I’d recommend it especially to men hoping to make a good impression on their partners.

It's a truly charming place, but the manager is a major flaw. In my opinion, he isn't suited to the job. He seems to enjoy offending guests and making sure they don't come back.
