The house has a beautiful view of the hills and mountains around Castelnuovo Don Bosco, and there are several spots to sit, eat, or watch the sunset. We had a well-equipped kitchen, including appliances, pots and pans, and a wonderful coffee machine. The rooms also had plenty of towels, blankets, and cushions. The pool was clean and fairly shallow, which suited the younger children. It’s a lovely family getaway, and I’d definitely come again. The owners are very friendly, and if you’d like an evening of real Italian food and company, invite them over. They’re a relaxed couple with lovely children. A few things to know: the church just across from the house rings its bells on the hour, at four minutes past, and on the half hour. We also encountered bugs, mosquitoes, bees, and wasps outdoors. In Montafia there’s a bar/cafe, pizzeria, pharmacy, and bakery/general store. People are friendly, though most don’t speak German or English. Asti, Castelnuovo Don Bosco, and Turin are all fairly close, but having a car or Vespa is a good idea.

Antonio organized everything really well, and we had a wonderful holiday. The house was beautiful, with a magnificent view, and we went on a great Vespa tour.

The location is very peaceful and private, and the house was gorgeous and spotlessly clean. Antonio is so kind and ready to help with anything. A wonderful experience, highly recommended.

We could easily have stayed a few more days. Our apartment was thoughtfully furnished and very well equipped, and everything worked. The landlords gave us a warm welcome and asked us to let them know if we needed anything. The landlord also came to check the garden every two or three days. The house is peaceful in the middle of town, right beside the church; its regular bells didn’t bother us. Since the garden sits a few meters above the road, it’s hardly visible from there, while we had a beautiful view over the Piedmont hills. A lovely place to relax.

The pool and the view across the surrounding countryside are wonderful, and it’s an ideal spot to unwind. This well-maintained holiday home in the little village of Montafia, between Asti and Turin, was spotless and had everything we needed, with plenty of care given to the details. Antonio and his wife are friendly and very helpful. He’d occasionally come by as arranged to mow the lawn or check the pool and garden. That was never a bother; we enjoyed the conversations and got useful tips from them. We wholeheartedly recommend the house.
