Borgo Amarrante

We stayed with four friends and really liked the apartment and its hilltop setting. The swimming pool was clean and pleasant, and each evening we watched the Toscany sunset. We'd come back!

We visited two years ago, and I was reminded of the trip when I opened the last bottle of Ivan's wine we brought home. It's aged beautifully, and I'm sorry it's gone. The owners make and sell their own wine, and it really is excellent. One Sunday afternoon we tasted several wines with Ivan and his family, along with local cheeses and biscuits. That was a highlight of our holiday. The welcome felt more like friendship than ordinary hospitality, as if the hosts were truly glad we were there. The accommodation was just what we needed, and the vineyard covered hills, calm atmosphere, incredible light, and sunsets made this one of those magical places that stays with you. We can't recommend it enough!

I loved the relaxed feel of this charming place, with its amazing views and pool. The owner was extremely nice and always ready to help. The wine was so good we had a bottle every day 🍾 and brought a few home. Apartament Toretta was cool, though next time I'd choose a villa because having everything on one floor is easier with small kids. I'll remember this place and recommend it to others. I hope we return!

The owner was friendly, and we were welcomed with a basket of the farm's own produce, which tasted great. The place was spotless and close to the attractions, with everything within an hour's drive. Our 3yo loved playing in the huge backyard and taking in the beautiful view. It's a wonderful spot for families. We'll come back next time we visit Florence.
