Casa Vacanze Residence I Calanchi

We stayed in the Croco apartment and had a really peaceful break away from the city. There are two pools and a picnic area with a grill, and the scenery is lovely. The apartment had air conditioning, one double bed, two single beds, a sofa bed, and the crib we requested for our baby. The kitchen comes with a gas stove, oven, pots, pans, plates, and bowls. If you plan to cook, bring oil and seasonings since none are supplied. We used sun-dried tomatoes in oil and pesto to flavor meals. Laundry machines are available, though you need to buy tokens while reception is open. Internet worked best near reception and often dropped out or failed to connect in the apartment.

The view is divine, and the swimming pools for adults and children were clean, with a lovely place to relax and barbecue. The green spaces and paved entrances to the apartments could use a bit more upkeep. For the drive, take the SRT429 via Montaione to Seghura from Florence, or you may end up on difficult, narrow local roads.

The setting is quiet and idyllic, and the apartment was stylishly furnished and very clean. The pool and the view were great too. The staff and host worked hard and were courteous. Lucca was especially accommodating, friendly, helpful, and just a great person.

The staff were excellent and helpful, and the scenery is beautiful. The kitchen is well equipped, though there isn't a traditional oven. It has a gas hob and a microwave with an oven function.
