Ghizzolo Residence

The pool was a favorite, clean and well cared for, with a superb view over the Tuscan hills. The location was wonderfully quiet, a real place to relax. If I had one small criticism, the rooms were a bit cramped, though functional. The comfort and beauty of the other spaces and the whole property more than made up for it. We spent ten dreamlike days in the Volterra apartment at Ghizzolo and came away with priceless memories. The apartment was spotless and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, including a modern, practical kitchen and quality linens and towels. Its central position made it easy to explore Tuscany, with Volterra, Siena, Lucca, and Florence all roughly an hour away for day trips. I warmly recommend Ghizzolo and the Volterra apartment for an authentic, relaxing holiday. The facilities and convenient base work well for both sightseeing and unwinding.

We had a great time and didn’t want to leave. The apartment suited us perfectly, with modern bathrooms and a kitchen that had everything we needed. The staff were friendly, and the views from the terrace were wonderful, with a lovely pool as well. A few practical things could be better: one shared washing machine isn’t enough for all the residents, and the road up to the houses is very bumpy and narrow, with uneven paths. We also struggled to find our house after arriving at night, so more outdoor lighting would help. Still, we had a great stay. Thank you xx

Montaione village is just five minutes away by car. The place itself was beautiful, calm, and friendly, and everything was clean. If you’re dreaming of a typical Tuscan villa with an excellent swimming pool, this is it. We had an amazing stay.

Our apartment was lovely, especially the really well equipped kitchen. The building and common areas blend a sense of history with luxury. We loved staying at Ghizzolo, surrounded by nature but still close to amenities and everything Tuscany has to offer. Highly recommended!
