We had a great stay. Marcella was responsive and looked after us well, and the room was clean and well stocked. Breakfast was among the best we had on the trip. The views are amazing, and town is just a short walk away. I’d definitely come back.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and Marcella sells some of her own farm products in the office. It’s a lovely place with amazing views, just a short walk uphill to town, as seems to be the case everywhere around here.

It was pouring when we reached Moltacino, and we were early, so we went into town for lunch and waited for the rain to ease. Coming back, we found a gorgeous view framed by a rainbow, and fluffy Giotto there to welcome us. The owner was ill, so we got messages explaining how to check ourselves in. The house was delightful, pure magic. How lucky we were to spend Valentine’s Day there. I think about it fondly every day; staying that weekend felt like a little piece of heaven. My man loved the vineyard and olive trees and said he could live there. Getting married in a place like this must be out of this world. Grazie mille per il fine settimana! I hope we can visit this paradise again soon.

The view was lovely, but the lack of working AC completely ruined our stay. There were units in the rooms, but the owner had removed the remotes, so we couldn’t turn them on. We asked about it separately and got three completely different explanations. It felt like they were advertising and charging for air conditioning without actually providing it. The website said there was AC, and we wouldn’t have booked if it hadn’t, so I wish the owner had offered a discount at checkout to make up for the misleading information. The breakfast had different options, but the food didn’t taste fresh. Maybe I happened to choose the only three dry, stale things, but it’s hard to know. It’s close to town, though the walk is very uphill and probably better when it isn’t 40 degrees. On the way back, crossing the roads and following the paths in complete darkness didn’t feel very safe. Probably not ideal for solo travelers.
