Agriturismo Casebianche

We found it easy to slow down and relax here, with the Sicilian countryside all around us and the village and lovely sea just a short drive away. We stayed at Casebianche in July 2025 with our two little dogs. Silenia welcomed us with a big smile and shared lots of ideas for making the most of our holiday. She was always happy to answer questions, but never intrusive. The renovated property was a lovely place to spend a few peaceful days.

The mountains around the property are wonderfully quiet, yet the beaches and Montallegro town center, with its many restaurants, are only a short drive away. We stayed in a modern, nicely furnished apartment on the first floor. It had a small kitchen and everything we needed, plus a large terrace with plenty of comfortable places to unwind. The owner, Silenia, gave us a warm welcome, as did her cats Francesca and Milk, and we felt at home straight away. We wished we could have stayed longer and will certainly return. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful spot in nature, away from tourist crowds.

We’ve been here three times this year already, and this won’t be our last visit. The three holiday apartments were built around 2012 and feel modern. It’s a great setup if you have a car and a dog. Our pug can wander around outside our apartment, though any run-ins are with other dogs and/or cats. It’s completely quiet at night, with lots of stars to see, and you could easily spend the whole day in the apartment. Nearby beaches are another option, and dogs are allowed there too. There are more restaurants, beach bars and pizzerias than you might expect, plus Conad and Coop supermarkets about 2 km away. Agrigento, the Italian Capital of Culture 2025, is under half an hour away, and it also has big shopping centers and a large Lidl. The area feels remote, but getting things done can be quicker and easier than back home in Cologne. When we got a flat tire, a specialist shop just 10 km away repaired it quickly and professionally instead of replacing it. It cost 11 euros including assembly. Silenia, the landlady, is very friendly and always reachable on WhatsApp. She speaks excellent English, and Google Translate helps her communicate in other languages too.
