The staff were very kind, which made the poor course condition all the more unfortunate. Fairways were decent, but the greens had lots of bare patches, and the rough was so long, with no first cut, that finding a ball just off the fairway was nearly impossible. The practice range had battered old balls and no aiming targets or yardage markers. The cart GPS was wrong, showing the green or approach view even from the tee and fairway. For 175 euros I got 18 holes with a cart and the first tee time as a single on a beautiful Monday morning, but the pace was held up when a new group was put in front of me between holes 9 and 10. The signage was poor too: hole 1 points to both 1 and 10, which are far apart, and it was hard to work out where to go after hole 9 and between some front-nine holes. The maintenance doesn’t come close to what I’d expect from a PGA National course. It could be a very nice course, and I feel sorry for the staff.

It’s not a long course, but the holes have quirky layouts and you need to be accurate. The course is beautiful, the staff are genuinely friendly, and we had a nice lunch on the terrace afterwards.

The hire clubs were terrible, and the practice range balls were poor. The practice fairway looked like it hadn’t been mown in at least a month. Course maintenance overall is very poor, with rough around 10 inches high even a metre off the fairway and terrible greens. They also seem to let local players bring their dogs, which makes play very slow.

The facilities were clean and fresh, and the staff friendly. The course is beautifully kept in lovely surroundings, with very good fairways and greens. The bunkers were extremely hard, though. I’d recommend it.

The layout is really nice, but the quality is very poor. At a 90€ green fee, I’d expect a different standard.
