The views were spectacular, and both the food and service were lovely. We had a plentiful, delicious Easter lunch, and Davide, one of the servers, was especially friendly and helpful. My wife and I were the only non-Italians there, which made us a bit of a novelty, though in a pleasant way. I felt welcomed as a guest rather than treated like just another customer. I’m very glad we found this place.

The four-course dinner was fabulous, and I had a fantastic four-hour cooking class. The owners and staff were welcoming, and the peaceful setting has breathtaking scenery. It felt like quintessential Old World Tuscany. I’d recommend it to family and friends.

We woke to stunning views and plenty of animals: perky rabbits, cats, dogs, a pony, and a donkey. It really feels like you’re out in nature, and the breakfast was amazing, ready for us in the morning. Getting there along the narrow road was an adventure, with some fun driving up the mountainside and impressive views below. Once we arrived, there was lots of parking and a lovely restaurant and B&B. It was restored in the early 2000s and is now a fantastic place to stay, enjoy the scenery, and eat great food. The owner greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome. Our room was comfortable too.

The road in is narrow and bumpy, and you can only get here by car, but it’s well worth the effort. The landscape is fabulous and the welcome was warm. Our room was spacious and clean, and dinner and breakfast were both really good. It felt like another planet. I’d strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Emilia Romagna. A tip: walk around the badlands and visit the church near Guardastelle.
