The pool among the lovely trees was the one bright spot. We booked this house for two weeks with friends after seeing promising pictures, but arrived to find it in a pretty disastrous state. The house was shockingly dirty and dusty, the kitchen furniture was neglected and filthy, and the mattresses were in terrible shape and had bugs. We spent the nights itching. In the late July heat we expected no air conditioning, but hoped to open the windows. There were no mosquito screens, so it was a choice between mosquitoes and fresh air. We'd read mostly very misleading reviews about the house on different websites. Afterwards, "someone" contacted us asking us to remove ours, which felt like an attempt to hide what had happened. The area in the heart of Tuscany is beautiful, and the house could have a lot of potential if it were looked after. But it seems the host, Nicoletta, puts little effort into maintaining it or making guests comfortable. For 1400 euros for two weeks, we expected a much better stay. We can't recommend it unless major improvements are made.
