From the lovely pool, we could see a 14th century castle with a delicious restaurant. The place felt like an oasis in the beautiful countryside of central Italy. The owners were attentive and friendly, and our comfortable accommodation had everything we needed. Five stars.

We felt at home right away, while still having all the privacy we wanted. Adriana cooked the loveliest dishes, and at times it felt like being part of their big Italian family. We also met some great people staying in the other houses and had a GREAT time. Everything about the place and pool was lovely, and even the easy, friendly communication before booking made us feel good about reserving an apartment for 10 nights. Best decision! We’ll most likely come back next year. Grazzie mille Adriana e tutti

After 10pm, the first thing we were told was that we already owed 7hours of heating. The woman working there showed us a photo of the meter, but I’m not sure when it was taken because all the radiators were cold! There was no soap in the bathroom, and no breakfast or coffee in the morning, so we had to travel 15km to find food. The toilet facilities weren’t good either. They blocked after every use.

We were warmly welcomed, and the cottage price is definitely affordable. These are vacation rentals rather than rooms or B&Bs, with small cottages among the greenery. Ours had a kitchen, a double bedroom, and a bathroom. The furnishings are basic and dated, but everything worked, and the small wood-burning stove was really comfortable. We picked a time of year that didn’t quite suit us. Summer seems better, with the pool and kitchen open. There are mountain trails and long hikes to a very charming nearby village, and we enjoyed driving to Gubbio, which is stunning, as well as Assisi, Perugia, and other medieval villages. The riding stables are another plus, with a knowledgeable, professional instructor. Horse lovers have lessons and outings to keep them busy. We’ll return mainly for the equestrian center. The instructor, Francesca, is very professional. Lessons cost only €25 for an hour, while the rides cost a little more.
