La casa tra i vigneti

Breakfasts are legendary, so good and generous. There were homemade cakes and cookies from the bakery in the nearby village, jams in all sorts of flavors (I'd never tried medlar before!), pizza, and plenty more. We also had lots of tasty things for an evening toast outside the house, with the scenery all around us. The house looks out over the Oltrepò Pavese countryside, and it's wonderfully quiet. Luca greeted us with such courtesy. He's the owner, and incredibly kind and helpful. The home feels welcoming, clean, and tastefully furnished, with restored family furniture alongside the rest. It's laid out over two floors in the traditional local style: the living and sitting room and the large kitchen are downstairs, while the bedrooms are upstairs. The bed was comfortable, too! There are several good restaurants nearby for traditional local food, and some serve well-liked modern interpretations as well. Luca is happy to offer advice. WE'LL BE BACK!

Such a lovely escape from Milan, almost like paradise. The owner was incredibly kind and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. We'll be back soon. Congratulations!
