We had a relaxing weekend and a great time here. I came across this property in Montecastrilli, near Terni, by chance, and booked for my husband, in-laws, sister-in-law, and twin grandchildren. The owner welcomed us warmly, showed us the rooms, the really lovely pools, and the huge, beautiful grounds. We had three very large rooms, each colorful and distinctive, with its own paintings, curtains, and furnishings. The twins had fun in the pool with two lovely inflatables, Pegasus and Toucan. In the evening we cooked a delicious BBQ on the grounds, with olive oil, wine, and all the dishes we needed provided. It’s ideal for families, though maybe less suited to anyone who doesn’t like insects. This is the countryside, so there were mosquitoes and worms, and we even found a scorpion. That’s normal, but you do need to be careful. We’ll be back!

The nicest surprise was spending time with our friendly hosts, Manola and Enzo. We’ll definitely return. The farmhouse is surrounded by greenery and has a rustic feel with all the modern comforts. There’s a small but lovely pool and a comfortable, well-equipped barbecue area.

We’ll be back as soon as we can. The suite was simply fabulous, beautifully laid out and furnished, with air conditioning, internet and a PC/TV. Outside, there’s a huge area, a giant functional barbecue, and a pool among the greenery with a fantastic swing that’s easy to overlook. The two people running the place were very kind and hospitable.

The pool water was sparkling clean, tucked among trees and greenery. Mrs. Manola runs the whole property wonderfully. She seems straight out of a fairytale, kind, thoughtful, strong, and welcoming, anticipating what you might need without asking for anything. Each suite has its own fairytale style, and they’re all clean, fragrant, and sanitized.

The owners were very kind and did their best to accommodate our requests. Breakfast times were a little limited, but they were flexible with us. The B&B sits just outside the center of Montecastrilli, surrounded by greenery in the typical hills of Central Italy.
