Hotel Ariston & Spa

The dinner was actually better than the breakfast buffet, which is the first time I've had that happen at a hotel. The omelet at breakfast wasn't very good, but the croissants were fresh and fantastic. It's an old-style place that feels more like a three-star than a dated four-star. Rooms were comfortable, the mattresses were excellent, and the staff were both friendly and capable. Close to the Plaza and the park.

We had a spacious, comfortable room with two small double beds. Breakfast had lots to choose from, tasted good, and included plenty of healthy options. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It's a great location too, about a three-minute walk to wine bars and nearby places to eat, and ten minutes on foot into town.

Gelateria Desideri is just a three or four-minute walk away, and the ice cream was the best I've ever had. The hotel itself is well placed, near the railway station and the center, and the staff were lovely. Our room was small and minimalist, but it was always spotless, and we had a cute balcony where we ate dinner a few times. The two receptionists, the blonde lady and the young man, were adorable. Breakfast was okay, though I expected more vegetables and fruit. The wellness area looked amazing, but a two-hour ticket costs 10 € per person and only lets you use the jacuzzi, not the saunas. When we tried to switch on a sauna, a very loud alarm went off, so I'd suggest not trying it. If you want a quiet hotel nearby and don't need wellness facilities every day, it's a good option.

A solid average hotel with good and bad points. The room was clean, but the air conditioning did nothing to cool it, even after staff checked the settings. Breakfast was included, and the mortadella and cheese were definitely tasty. The coffee machine, though, produced something syrupy that didn't resemble coffee. No laundry service at a four-star hotel is odd. The staff were superb.
