The chalet in Altoggio feels almost like a dream, with quiet nature, fresh air, and a beautiful landscape all around. The house is welcoming, beautifully kept, and has every comfort. I can't think of another stay where five stars would feel so inadequate. Harmony, serenity, space to breathe, cleanliness, rest, history, and a sense of being part of things are what come to mind. Luigi and Valeria are a remarkable couple. They're attentive, warm, caring, efficient, and always smiling, and they take part in local life. Their stories show how much they love the mountains and the area's history, and how deeply they respect what the villages have been through over the years. They joined us on excursions, quickly understood what we could manage, and explained in detail what we were seeing. If you want to step away from everyday life, learn about the past and the work and life of the mountain communities, and enjoy a wonderful holiday, this is the place.

We spent the Christmas holidays at Casa Il Girasole, hosted by Valeria and Luigi. The one bedroom home has a living room and kitchen, and was recently renovated, spotlessly clean, and furnished with real care. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. They showed us around the village, shared its history, and offered useful ideas for exploring the Ossola valleys. A great fit if you want a quiet break among the mountains with plenty of chances to enjoy outdoor sports in beautiful surroundings.

The hosts were kind, friendly, generous, and always ready to help. "IL GIRASOLE" is set in a quiet, sunny spot, away from the city's bustle but well placed for reaching the sights across the Ossola Valley. The house was welcoming, clean, cool during summer, and had every comfort. It suited our family well, two adults and two children. A really positive stay and a good choice for a relaxing holiday.

We've stayed in August two years running, two adults with two children, and have been comfortable both times. The house in Altoggio is clean, tidy, and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Luigi and Valeria are great hosts and lovely neighbors. They're glad to suggest local excursions and help you discover Altoggio's secrets. Highly recommended.

The peace you find in these little towns, the beautiful setting, and the warm hospitality made our week in Valeria's apartment a real pleasure. The house was gorgeous, and we'll definitely come back.
