Bed and Breakfast San Marco

We only spent one night, but the calm there really stayed with me. The quiet, peaceful atmosphere felt restorative, like it could recharge you in a way few places can. Carla is wonderful and makes you feel as if you've known her for years. Our room was cozy, with several amusing little gadgets and thoughtful details. There are places to sit and unwind outside too, including small gazebos, pergolas, benches, and chairs. Even the simple bookcase by the entrance adds to the place.

The outdoor tables and the sounds of roosters and birds give the property a relaxed feel, tucked into the rolling Umbrian hills. My partner and I spent two nights at B&B San Marco "L' Inspiratorium." We enjoyed Philippe's artwork and had a great chat with him about art and literature. The room was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with nice touches like a fridge, toiletries for both him and her, and stylish accessories. Carla greeted us with a smile, was very kind, and pointed us toward some excellent places to eat. Breakfast was generous, and the cake of the day was a lovely way to start the morning. This is a good fit if you're after an original experience rather than a traditional B&B.

We were surrounded by green Umbrian countryside, with a breathtaking view all around. The room felt fabulous and welcoming, and breakfast was generous, with homemade food. Mrs. Carla was attentive and ready to help, and friendliness seemed to be the rule throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time and will be back soon. Highly recommended.

The antique furnishings give the rooms a warm, welcoming feel, and Mrs. Carla had genuinely good suggestions for places to eat and local dishes to try. A friend and I came for a weekend in early February, when it rained hard the whole time. We couldn't enjoy the outdoor space, which was a shame, since it seems like it would be a peaceful, beautiful oasis in spring or summer. Carla more than made us feel at home, though. She invited us into her living room, and we spent a while chatting over tea. The B&B is out in the lovely Umbrian countryside, on the Via del Sagrantino. We'll definitely return! ❤️
