The setting and landscape are beautiful, but the staff have a lot of room to improve. We were five cyclists there two days ago, with temperatures at 40 degrees outside. We’d tried to reserve before arriving, but unfortunately nobody answered. We wanted lunch and a glass of good wine. The lady we met was very unfriendly. Even after we bought €200 worth of wine and olive oil, she said we couldn’t have a glass of regular water when we politely asked. She also asked us to wait outside in the sun, even after we explained that our car would arrive very soon.

We’d planned to stay here for a week in September, but cancelled after hearing about our friends’ terrible stay. They said there was no cleaning while they were there and many kitchen tools and household items were missing. There also wasn’t a responsible person they could ask for what they needed.

We went for a wine tour during the off season, and the place was incredibly welcoming and relaxed. It’s set in the Chianti hills and makes some standout DOCG wines. The hospitality and wine are so good that we order regular shipments back to the UK.

The restaurant served the best local food we’ve tasted this week, and the scenery was fantastic. A marvelous place with big rooms.

A very nice place, though the service is really, really bad. You can still enjoy the amazing heart of Tuscany.
