La Poulerie - Suite Dependance

La Poulerie has such a cozy, charming feel, with an elegant touch, and sits in an incredible stone village. We loved staying there. The owner was clear in all our communication before and during the visit, and treated us with real warmth and respect. I’d gladly return and recommend it to friends.

The owners had clearly put a lot of care into La Poulerie, and they shared plenty of helpful information to make my stay better. I spent a few peaceful, relaxing days in this lovely spot in the old town of Burano in Monzemezzo. From Gera Lario, you can get there along a pleasant short road, and that town has plenty of shops and restaurants. It’s a good base for enjoying some quiet, the lake, including surfing, cycling, or a hike in nature.

I’d recommend the apartment if it were warmer and the bathroom water reliably hot. As it was, the water felt lukewarm, so taking a bath wasn’t very pleasant, and the heating only came on for part of the day. The place itself is very good, and I’d give it 4 out of 5.

We had such a lovely week and will definitely return. The small apartment is beautiful and furnished with care, and waking up to views of Lake Como and Monte Legnone, one of the highest mountains, was wonderful. Our hosts helped with every kind of question, from restaurants and mountain hikes to finding a pharmacy. Thanks again for being so welcoming!
