Agriturismo Casa Picchiata

We checked out feeling taken advantage of. On August 28, 2025, my family and I stayed here, and the bills left a bad impression. We chose to eat at the hotel restaurant so our baby could sleep in the room. At the end of dinner, the bill was huge and didn’t seem to match what we’d ordered. The next day at checkout, we were charged again for drinks, which we’d thought were already covered by the dinner bill we paid the night before. It felt misleading and dishonest, almost like a deliberate attempt to scam guests. Our stay was disappointing, and I can’t recommend this place to anyone expecting transparent, trustworthy service.

We were in town for a wedding with family and friends, and Hotel San Biagio worked really well for us. The rooms were a little dated, but clean and charming, and we were comfortable. There are small spots to gather, and we especially liked sitting out back in the shade with a lovely breeze. It was a nice place for a glass of wine or a cappuccino, and their cappuccino and espresso were great. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. We also enjoyed the food: some of our family had a delicious steak dinner, and lunch for our large group was very good with great service. The location was perfect, close to town and the wineries.

The warm, attentive staff made us feel at home right from arrival, and the hotel’s atmosphere added to that feeling. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a stay in Tuscany. Albergo San Biagio is well placed for exploring Montepulciano and the surrounding area. We had a wonderful stay, beyond what we expected. If we come back to Montepulciano, we’ll choose Albergo San Biagio again. Thanks for making the trip unforgettable. 😊 Fran & Carla

We loved our four nights here in late September, two couples traveling together. The place made a great base for touring, and we saw a lot. One of the best stays on our trip. The rooms weren’t large or luxurious, and our shower pressure was low, but everything was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The food was surprisingly good, better than most restaurants in town. The staff were delightful, especially Veronica, who was so sweet, and the waiters.
