Agriturismo Le Stringaie

Irene and Daniel were so lovely, gracious, and accommodating. They helped us in many ways, and their enthusiasm was infectious. They made the stay special. The homemade meals were great, made with their own produce, olive oil, eggs, and just about everything else we ate. The desserts were delicious. The location is close to Montepulciano and several other beautiful villages, with several good wineries just minutes away. The grounds were stunning, with flowers everywhere, and the pool was gorgeous. The rooms were spare, though. A chair and table would have been nice, along with coffee in the room or an early morning coffee and tea option for early risers. Be aware, the stairs to the upper floors are steep.

The meals were delicious, and the care, passion, and freshness really came through. We hesitated about paying for dinner at first because there wasn’t much information about the menu, but others recommended it and we’re so glad we trusted them. You can choose which nights to have dinner. I strongly recommend it. We also took Daniele’s pasta class and made pasta by hand. It was so much fun. Nearly two weeks later, we still talk about that experience every day, and can’t wait to return to Le Stringaie. The location is beautiful, and although it’s somewhat close to a highway, we couldn’t hear the passing cars. Everyone was kind and accommodating, and the cozy, quaint place felt like home.

We rented an entire floor in April, four bedrooms for six adults and four children. The owners were helpful and accommodating, and the whole place had a sweet, relaxing feel. It was incredibly family friendly. The staff made the stay feel warm and welcoming. It was exactly the restful stop we needed during an otherwise hectic but wonderful trip around Italy. The homemade food was amazing, and we’ll definitely come back on our next visit.

Daniele’s dinners were our favorite meals across all the regions we visited in Italy, even though we had some amazing food elsewhere. He cooked for us every night, and the cooking class with him gave us memories we’ll keep for a lifetime. Irene also shared excellent suggestions for our stay. Siena, Montepulciano, and Pienza are among Tuscany’s best towns and cities. Irene and Daniele made this visit to Tuscany with my family truly special. They were so accommodating with my young kids, and for a week it felt like we were part of their family. I highly recommend Le Stringaie.
