Bed & Breakfast Vicolo dell'Oste

Giuseppe & Luísa were so kind and friendly. We couldn't get back to Rome in time, and they found us a room at the last minute, then recommended a lovely place for aperitivio and called to book us a dinner reservation. The place feels warm and homey, and we had such a lovely stay.

The hosts messaged us on WhatsApp before we arrived with directions and parking help. The town center is a No Traffic Zone, and this place has an arrangement for parking just outside it, so be sure to read the check-in instructions. Our attic room was fully renovated, with two split AC units, a new bathroom, a small kitchenette with a cooktop and sink, and a full-size fridge and freezer. The shower had the best water pressure we've had yet. The room and building were both really unique, and the hosts were amazing. There are lots of stairs to reach the room, though the whole town has steep slopes and stairs. We stayed only one night, but if we'd known how distinctive Montepulciano was, we'd have added another night to explore and enjoy those incredible views. One caution: restaurants book up quickly here, unlike other places in Italy where you can just walk in. Make a reservation when you arrive or beforehand. After a long evening walking up and down hundreds of meters of stairs and streets, we ended up getting a panini, which did the trick.

The staff were very nice, and the rooms were big. The location was great too. It was a bit hot and humid in the room since there was no air conditioning, though it felt great outside.

We were lucky to stay here, even if it was only for one night. The rooms are beautiful, and the owner is a genuinely wonderful person. Such a delight to stay here. 💯 recommend.
