The place felt like a clean, no-frills hotel from the 70s or 80s, and the beds weren't great, though that seems common in Italy. I paid about €75 a night in November 2019. It's close to the city gate, which was handy, but I would have preferred staying inside the walls. Those hotels were €140 and up, so this was a reasonable compromise. Good value at that price, though I'd only return if it cost noticeably less than the places within the city.

We couldn't get a decent night's sleep because the walls let so much sound through that I could hear the neighbors snoring. The bathroom was tiny, practically everything could be done from the toilet, including taking a shower. The hotel itself is old, and the light by the bed didn't work.

There’s a really clean laundromat close by, and the old city is within walking distance from the hotel at its base. Our room was clean, and the staff were friendly.

The reception has a lovely view over the Tuscan countryside. The hotel is nice and very close to the bus station, Autostazione. Prices are good in the low season.

The room was spacious, parking was free, and the staff were nice. The rooms feel quite dated, though, and the bathroom especially needs renovating.
