Check-in was easy, and the self check-in worked perfectly. The nearby cafe served a delicious breakfast with a voucher for coffee, a pastry, and juice. Our room was spacious and clean, but the bathroom was quite small. The hotel is at the old town entrance, with shops and restaurants along the walking street leading to Piazza Grande. Parking was a short distance away, around 15€ for 24 hours. There was some noise from both the street and neighboring rooms. The TV didn't work, though that hardly mattered since we only used the room to sleep.

From our fourth-floor room, we watched the most spectacular sunset. The hotel staff also helped us find a taxi from Pienza at short notice. I'd stay again, 10/10.

Alberto put together a great itinerary for activities in the surrounding countryside, along with some fantastic restaurant suggestions and wine tasting. It was a beautiful place to stay in Montepulciano, and I highly recommend it.

We were welcomed so warmly when we arrived, and the woman even helped Mum carry her luggage up the flight of stairs. We'd asked for twin beds, but the room had a double in one room and a couch in another. They quickly made the couch into a bed, and it was very comfortable. There was plenty of space, plus a kettle and bar fridge, which you don't always get in Tuscany. We also had a breakfast voucher for the only cafe in town, just a few doors up, for a pastry, juice, and coffee of our choice. The staff there were friendly too. The location was arguably the best in town, and within our budget. A lot of travelers park outside Montepulciano, spend a few hours, and leave, but you really need a full day and two nights to enjoy it. There's a long walk up to the top, then on through the other side, with lovely photo spots at every turn. The town isn't packed with activities, but there's plenty of food, wine, coffee, and desserts. The local artwork is beautiful, though very expensive. Parking at the entrance to the old town cost £10 for 24 hours, so we spent £15 altogether for our stay.
