Hotel Tre Stelle

The breakfast was the best part, delicious! The rooms are very clean and have a typical Tuscan style. The ladies on staff were so kind and sweet, and helped us find the best Enoteca in Montepulcano for tasting wine.

A lovely little hotel with a restaurant. Finishing the day with a drink at the bar was just perfect.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, but the room was basic and felt more like a two-star than a three-star. The double-bed mattress was really uncomfortable. I’d suggest twin beds for better sleep. Breakfast was basic too, and for what it offers, I think it costs too much compared with other hotels we stayed at in Tuscany.

Elisa and Chiara made a real effort every day, calling taxis, restaurants and wineries we could visit. They were always happy to help and had a friendly smile. The rest of the hotel staff were just as thoughtful and accommodating. Each morning they even remembered our coffee orders and greeted us with a smile. There’s also what I’d call the best pizza in the Province of Siena next door. My wife, my brother and his wife needed a sudden transfer to a new hotel, and Tre Stelle took us in right away for six days. It’s a hidden gem for travel comfort, and we highly recommend it. The hotel is clean, the air conditioning is very good for summer, and the location is excellent for touring wineries around Montepulciano and Montalcino, as well as the hilltop cities of Penza and Sienna. Prices are fair and very reasonable. Breakfast is included and was quite nice, and the evening aperitivos were good too.
