The rooms are spacious and really comfortable, in a building dating back to the 1400s above an Etruscan cave. It’s a lovely base for exploring Tuscan wines, just south of Siena between Chianti to the north and Brunello/Montalcino to the south. The host family is kind and welcoming, and they make their own wine and olive oil too. Highly recommend.
We visited last year and had a fantastic time. It’s a family run place, and everyone made us feel so welcome, almost like we were part of the family. I can’t recommend it enough. We’ll come back!
I stayed in the “Bacco” apartment, which had very good WiFi and a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, and tea and coffee facilities. Graziana even bought spaghetti for me when the village’s only restaurant was closed. The hosts are friendly, and La Roverella has a huge area where you can take a lovely walk. This Agriturismo is right in the centre of the lovely village of Ville di Corsano. They make red and white wine, olive oil, and grappa.
We came to Tuscany for the first time and wanted a quieter place away from the busy tourist areas, to get a feel for the region. La Roverella was a great choice for visiting Florence, Siena, and Val d'Orcha. The simple apartment was charming and spotless, with everything we needed. Gracia and Graciano treated us like good friends and were so hospitable, including treats and a delicious homemade pie. The surroundings are beautiful, and the area felt very safe. We’d love to return someday.
