Guesthouse Marina

We booked after seeing all the great reviews, but our experience in the Studio Room was nothing like the photos. It felt more like a deposit space than a room. It was very outdated, cold, damp, moldy, and dark, with cigarette butts everywhere and cupboards in a complete mess. On our first night the toilet broke and flooded the room. The owner wasn't helpful, saying there were no other rooms and that we weren't prisoners and could change hotels. Since they had no other room for us, we left for another hotel in the morning and got our money refunded. They didn't seem surprised we were leaving. It looked to me like they'd updated only some rooms and left the others behind.

The staff were friendly and well organized, and the location was great. We had a clean, comfortable room with an updated bathroom and a full shower. Breakfast was excellent. There's even a lift, which is useful if you have large suitcases or mobility concerns. We absolutely loved our stay.

The restaurant at Hotel Marina served memorable pasta and seafood, and the local wine was excellent. For beach days, we appreciated being able to borrow towels from the hotel. Getting around Cinque Terre was easy from this spot, less than a ten-minute walk from the train station. We just got back from a wonderful stay in Monterosso and couldn't be happier. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely time at Hotel Marina and enjoyed every minute. The place has an adorable atmosphere, and our room was great, with all the things we needed. Breakfast was complimentary and had everything we could have asked for. The staff were kind and helpful. The location was ideal, near the centre but far enough away for quiet nights. Thank you!
