I really liked the old-fashioned charm here, though I can see it might not suit everyone. The room was simple but comfortable, with a sunny balcony, a good bed, plenty of hot water, and a quiet night. WiFi was among the best I’ve had in a hotel. I was welcomed warmly, and the English was very good. I did miss having an elevator, fresh bread at breakfast, and a fluffy bath towel. The one provided was thin cotton.

I arrived without booking ahead, and Anna kindly found me a fantastic room. I was staying one night on the Via Francesco and had a great time. Breakfast was amazing too.

Our location was perfect, the room was clean, and the shower was great. Breakfast was lovely as well. When our transfer cancelled just 30 minutes before we were due to leave for the airport, Elenia, a lovely and helpful staff member, arranged a taxi for us. Grazie Elenia

Booking costs less here. At other places, they’re glad when you book directly, so they’ll match the Booking price or go lower, since Booking takes 10% or more of the total. Here, they said it wasn’t my business and charged more than Booking. So if you use Booking, you pay less, and they don’t seem to care.

There’s no elevator, so we had to haul our two large 20 kg bags up to the second floor. The room was only three-star, and there wasn’t a fridge in it.
