The villa itself is beautiful, set in a picturesque area, and there are lots of cozy gazebos. Those were the bright spots, though, because several things really spoiled the stay. Without a car, getting here is difficult. The bus stop is about a 30-minute walk away, and buses only run a few times a day. The walk means going along the highway, which isn’t really suited to pedestrians. The rooms may look pleasant at first, but the fittings felt flimsy and seemed to fall apart. Most seriously, I had many bites during my stay, and my suspicion was confirmed: the hotel had bedbugs. It was also clear to me that the owner knew about the problem and wasn’t planning to do anything.
