Podere Casanova

We spent three nights at Podere Casanova and loved it. It’s peaceful among the olive trees, with lovely grounds, a beautiful pool, and views that feel straight out of a Tuscan postcard. Our apartment had its own outdoor space and was both cozy and thoughtfully decorated. Breakfast was a real treat, with plenty of choice, including gluten-free bread and focaccia, oat and soy milk, and vegetarian and vegan dishes. It arrived at the time we chose, either at the shared dining area or outside our apartment. We also had dinner there one evening, choosing from pizza, salads, and local cheese and meat platters. Everything was delicious and full of regional flavor. Lisa, the owner, made us feel welcome even before we arrived. Everyone working there was kind, and you can tell they put a lot of care into the place. It was one of my favorite stays, and I’d happily come back. Every detail felt right.

The apartment was huge, comfortable, and extremely clean, and the whole property is kept in great shape, including the kids’ attractions and the lovely pool. It’s close to the highway, but still secluded and quiet, with an amazing view. Lisa was a wonderful host. She was kind and patient with all our questions, and helped us with every problem. We arrived on Wednesday and joined the pizza party Lisa and her family organize. It was a great time, don’t miss it. A perfect place and host. Thanks for everything, Lisa!

We spent three nights here, and I wish we’d had more time to explore the area. The location and view are amazing, and Lisa brings a great breakfast to your apartment at the time you request. Her local olive oil and wine are very reasonably priced, so they’re nice to bring home as gifts. Wifi is strong, and the heating is through the AC. The house is nicely designed, though the living room has only a small, uncomfortable couch for two, and the dining chairs sit too low for the table. We also found at least seven Heteroptera :p

Lisa is such a fantastic person, always smiling and ready to help with anything. The place itself is beautiful, with an amazing view. We had a great stay and found it really hard to leave.
