We ate here on both days of our stay, and every dish was first class. Claudio was a great host and cook, while the service stayed friendly without hovering. A beautiful restaurant up in the hills, thoroughly recommended.

A memorable stop in the Tuscan mountains. Our campervan pitch cost 8 euros a night in March and had all the facilities we needed. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and there’s also a pool and an excellent restaurant during the season. Highly recommended.

Our painting group was made to feel very welcome. The meal was amazing, especially the perfect gorgonzola and pear risotto and the fish wrapped in chestnut leaf. Such a beautiful natural setting for lunch. Highly recommend.

Our lunch at Al Vecchio Tino ended up being the best meal of our two weeks eating around towns in northern Italy. We’d have been happy just to stop at the farm home: outdoor seating, a welcoming hostess, a view over Apennine National Park, and chestnuts dropping from the trees while donkeys kept the grass down. The food was exceptional too. We had a crystal-clear fall day, which may be the first requirement for the drive from the Autostrada at Alula toward Fivizzano and then Monzone.
