The food was so delicious, all homemade and prepared with care. We first went for lunch while staying at a hotel in Morano Calabro, just a seven-minute drive away. The local wine choices were fun to try, and I talked my husband into coming back for dinner. We were welcomed back and had another great meal. It’s easy to drive to even after dark, and convenient for both Morano Calabro and Castrovillari. If you’re nearby, make time to try what they offer.

This was our third stay, and we’ll be back again. The setting in the mountain scenery of the Pollino National Park is stupendous, with a peaceful atmosphere, a serene pool, and a fabulous restaurant serving locally sourced food. The staff are so friendly and went out of their way to help. Thanks to Rocco and Michela for arranging an unforgettable mountain trek with local Guide, Gaetano, and getting e-bikes organized for a trip to Castrovillari. The historic town of Morano nearby is a delight. Highly recommended.

The beautiful location was only matched by the family and staff who hosted us. The homemade food was delicious and authentic, with gluten free options too. I hope I can come back.

We really liked the restaurant, especially the black pig, which is the dish to try. The premises feel a little abundant, and the pool was out of operation for a while at the end of September. The rooms have interesting decor.
