4/10
We came away very disappointed with Cala Saracena Resort, especially because the positive reviews had given us a different impression. Our children were tired after the long trip, but the kitchenette listed with our reserved room wasn't available, so we couldn't make them a warm meal. Then we were told it cost extra, something the room description never mentioned. That felt misleading and unfair. We were a family of four but only got three sets of cutlery, and had to ask reception for a clothes rack. The air conditioning broke several times, so I had to keep requesting help. The entertainment also seemed aimed more at adults than children. Staff tried to be polite, though it often felt artificial. The whole stay let us down.

Breakfast was really nice and had a good selection, and sitting around the pool was so peaceful and relaxing. We expected a crowded, cheap-feeling resort, but that wasn't our experience at all. The rooms were spacious, clean, practical, and had all the facilities we needed. The staff were a big part of what made it good: even though their English wasn't great and our Italian was awful, we managed to communicate thanks to their patience and willingness to help.

Right in the middle of the action in Torre Vado, with a lovely view of the sea.
