The tasting menu came with a lovely mix of flavors, and both the food and wine felt like great value. We hadn’t known what to expect from the drive or the location, so arriving there was a welcome surprise. One of the best meals we had in Italy, and we left very happy.

The garden makes a lovely entrance, and the place feels refined and special. We came for a couples’ lunch after using the Wonderbox gift my husband had received for his birthday, and La Rossa farmhouse in Morsasco was a great find close to home. Mr. Franco was warm and charming. Chef Marzia served excellent starters, wonderful first and second courses, and sublime desserts with their Moscato jelly. We also loved the Dolcetto wine and the sweet grape mustard. A romantic meal we’d gladly repeat, and we’ll certainly return.

Set among vineyards and greenery, the area is beautiful, though the views themselves aren’t especially striking. You can stay overnight and buy their wines. The owner is very helpful and friendly, happy to answer questions or requests. The food is traditional Piedmontese cooking, made with very good ingredients and served in simple, authentic dishes.
