Residenze Casa Smeralda Costa Rei

The location made it easy to relax: Costa Rei beach is less than a five minute walk away, and there’s a supermarket and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The beach is beautiful, with shallow turquoise water that’s warm, and the shallows seem good for children to play safely. It’s a lovely place for couples or families. We came from the UK and USA for our honeymoon, and were really happy with our stay. The hotel is extremely well presented and clean, and by European standards feels like a four star place. Our ground floor room was lovely, with a newly fitted bathroom and doors that opened onto the gardens. The pool was clean and relaxing even in peak season in July 2024, with loungers and nice shade. Breakfast had a good range, from fruit and pastries to cooked omelettes, which you can ask for, and drinks like cappuccino. The staff were always cheerful and helpful. We thought it was good value and couldn’t find fault with the hotel. I have high expectations, and it met all our needs. I read lots of reviews beforehand and am glad I trusted the positive ones. I strongly recommend it if you’re visiting Sardinia.

We stayed here with our two little kids and had a lovely time. The rooms and pool area are beautiful, the service was great, and the beach is right nearby. We especially liked breakfast and having cocktails by the pool in the afternoon. I’d definitely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Sardinia.

We had our 🐶 with us, and the daily cleaning was easy to arrange around specific times. The reception and restaurant staff were polite and attentive, and both breakfast, with plenty of choices, and the tasty dinner menu were excellent. There’s also a private beach within walking distance, with beds and umbrellas. The rooms were clean and spacious, the gardens well looked after, and the pool was beautiful. We’ll definitely return when we’re near costa rey.

We had a really good stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, and everyone on staff was kind and ready to help. There was a wide choice at breakfast, and the restaurant served good food, with quality ingredients and fair prices. The beach club was well maintained, too.
