I've been coming here for years, and the beautiful countryside around the well-kept historic villas and apartments never gets old. The breakfast buffet and dinner restaurant are favorites of mine. The food is excellent and prepared with care, and the value is great.

We really liked our stay. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast buffet was huge, with freshly made scrambled eggs and bacon and at least five kinds of homemade cake. Dinner was decent, with fairly authentic Italian food, though the gnocchi were a bit dry and the risotto wasn't really hot. Rooms were cleaned daily, and we could borrow bicycles for free. The pool is 25 meters long, and quite deep at one end. The tennis court was free to use, and you could go horse riding a few minutes up the road. You really need a car to get to and from the accommodation. I'd recommend booking a room at the main house, where the amenities are, otherwise you'll be driving all the time. My favorite activity was definitely terme di petriolo.

Even with a last-minute booking the day before we arrived, we got a friendly, informative reception. The staff were all helpful and nice, though not everyone speaks English well. The apartments have what you need for cooking, but we didn't use it. The restaurant serves tasty food at very good prices, with a changing menu. Add a good bottle of their own wine, and don't worry about bringing your pet, they're welcome too. We didn't regret booking so late. Thanks to all the staff.

We had a great stay with family and friends, and the staff were kind and very helpful. The views of Toscana's vineyards, cypress trees, and hills are beautiful, the kind you can't buy. The rural, picturesque setting makes up for the lack of air conditioning and the five-minute drive from our apartment, along a dirt road, to the main pool and reception. The rooms were spacious and fine, with the things we needed, though the accommodation wasn't new. The old-looking stone houses added to the setting. The main pool was good, with a platform to jump from, and the pool bar served cold drinks and snacks. The restaurant had a very good menu of Tuscan dishes. There are many vineyards at the fattoria, and the wines made there were tasty. Wine tasting costs 15 eur per person.

DO NOT GO THERE! As other comments mention, you may end up in an old apartment 5 km from reception. Ours was uncomfortable, dark, and hot. The dirty roads made it impossible to drive at night. The pool was UNDER CONSTRUCTION, with nails and pipes all over, so it was very dangerous to swim there. I'm giving two stars because when we went back to Alessandra to complain, she immediately found us a great hotel in Siena.
