B&B La Nicchiarica

Ada is such a lovely person, always there whenever you need anything, and incredibly friendly. The rooms were spotless, cleaner than some luxury suites I've stayed in, and you can see the same care outdoors, from the tidy plants to the clean seating area and benches where you can sit after a shower. Breakfast was excellent, especially the cappuccino I fell in love with. I had a wonderful visit and would happily come back. Ada is a guarantee 🩷🩷🩷

Ada and Fabio, along with their little princess Ginevra, are what make La Nicchiarica so special. They're helpful and polite, and the breakfasts Ada makes with so much love for her land are hard to match elsewhere. She talks about every dish and chooses ingredients from nearby farms, mills, and markets, including organic flour, farm milk, butter and cheeses, their own olive oil, fruit, and seeds. The care and experience behind it all come through in every bite and aroma. Fabio, lucky man! My husband and I spent a special week in this small, charming B&B in the peaceful Salento countryside. There's no fuss, just an authentic setting close to the coast and cultural spots, all a short drive away. We first stayed here this summer, though my grandparents were from the area, and after trying so many other places, La Nicchiarica was a real discovery. The rooms are simple and practical, nicely furnished in Lecce stone, and always very clean and fresh smelling. I've stayed in plenty of places, so I know that isn't something to take for granted. They change the linens every three days, and the towels are always so soft. Ada's breakfasts are so good you could get used to them, and you won't find local products of the same quality and made with the same care outside her hometown. The host made us feel at home right away, always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. Her kindness and eye for detail showed especially at breakfast, where she served excellent local products. The accommodation was spotless, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it for the warm hospitality and all the thoughtful touches.

We only stayed one night, and the price for what we got was excellent. The room and bathroom were a little small, though they had all the amenities. Breakfast was great, especially the homemade pasticciotto. It's peaceful here and well placed for Otranto and the beaches. The owners shared a lovely story about how the property got its name.
