Aktivhotel Santalucia

The hospitality from the owner and team made our four days at Aktivhotel Santa Lucia even more enjoyable. Everyone was cheerful and welcoming, especially Cristina, whose friendly energy and charming German-Italian dialect brightened every interaction. We’ll definitely be back. It exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it. The hotel is set up for active travelers. The rooms were modern, spotless and very comfortable, while breakfast was a highlight, rich and nutritious, with thoughtful extras such as fresh vitamins and protein honey. The heated 25-meter pool was fantastic. I also liked the honesty bar beside it, where you simply write down what you take. Cyclists get a video-monitored bike storage area right in front, a workshop for repairs and a self-service car wash station. In the evening, the cocktail bar is a great place to unwind, with an impressive selection of high-quality drinks.

The staff were always smiling, upbeat and ready to help, and they were very responsive to my requests. I loved the cycling package, with bike storage, optional guided tours and daily laundry service. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for a cycling holiday.

The staff really wanted us to have a good time, whether we felt like being active or taking it easy. Thanks to Christine, Damieno, Tristan, Erica and Leonardo for looking after the details and helping make it such a lovely week for me and my family. The hotel was comfortable, and the rooms, pool, gym, restaurant, bar and cycling store were well organized and maintained. It’s in a scenic, quiet spot among olive groves, close to beaches, restaurants and bars. Breakfast and the food were great, with lots to choose from, everything fresh and available until 10:30 am. We’ll definitely be back.

The breakfast buffet was probably the best I’ve seen, with staples, cold cuts, a juice bar with protein and antioxidant choices, alternative milks, gluten-free options and good fruit. The beds were comfortable, everything was very clean, and the staff were friendly and knew the area well. This was the best place we stayed during our three weeks in Italy. It’s especially handy if you’re here for outdoor activities. They have guides and maps for hiking, biking and climbing, bike racks and rentals, plus useful things like trekking poles and umbrellas. There are plenty of eco-friendly practices and electric car charging, too. There’s a sauna and a play pool as well as a lap pool. We’d stay again if we came back to the area.
