Torbole and the surrounding area are outstanding. There’s hiking in the mountains and among vineyards, plus watersports and other activities. The old town is simply lovely, and it’s not as busy or touristy as some other places around Lake Garda.

The earplugs in the room say a lot. On April 29th it was 23 degrees outside and 27 inside, and sleeping with the windows shut was impossible because of the traffic, loud motorcycles and trucks on the busy road into town. The air conditioning didn't run because it was low season. I had booked a room in Nago Torbole and checked on Booking.com that it had air conditioning. Hotiday Room Collection put us on the road side. I even offered to pay extra to move to the quieter side, but they said those rooms belonged to a different owner. Hotiday and Booking.com both took no responsibility, and there was no way to file a complaint with the property. The booking was made non-refundable, so cancellation wasn't an option. I warn everyone against booking with Hotiday Room Collection. Inhumane.
