Appartamento Santa Brigida

The location is great, right by Via Toledo, one of the main pedestrian streets, and within a short walk of the metro and ferry terminal. The hotel was quiet at night, Wi-Fi was fast, cleaning was good and the staff were generally nice and friendly. It's in an apartment building on the third floor, and can be hard to spot as a hotel because there are no big signs on the walls. You need to ring the doorbell to get through the gate. There's a tiny elevator, not for anyone with claustrophobia. Our room had a small balcony overlooking Via Toledo, but only one bedside table and few outlets for charging phones. One bedside lamp had no shade. Breakfast was mostly pastries, cakes and lukewarm coffee. The air conditioning didn't work, so the room felt like a sauna. Small ants appeared on the floor and table fairly often, though not constantly. The bed was hard and the pillows thin. The fridge didn't work either, and the leaky shower left water on the floor with low pressure. There wasn't much privacy on the toilet: the glass door had a big gap at both the top and bottom.

A spotless boutique hotel in a very convenient spot beside two metro stations. The staff were welcoming and really friendly.

The room facilities were great and Hotel Santa Brigida is in a great location. I was surprised in a good way. But I could hear too much noise from both outside and inside the hotel, and got far less sleep than I wanted. Breakfast was good enough, though it's a pity the breakfast area has no windows at all. Even one would make a big difference.

We had a great stay in this fantastic hotel. The buffet breakfast was the highlight, with an impressive range and quality of food. The place is modern and clean, right in the middle of the shopping district, on the third floor of a historic building with elevators. I can't imagine finding a better place to stay. Highly recommended.
