B&B A' Casarella

Everything went great.

The owners were so kind and courteous, it was disarming. I’d looked at lots of places in Naples before choosing this lovely B&B, about a 10-minute walk from both the train station and the city center. I’m a light sleeper and knew Naples could be chaotic, but they reassured me by providing earplugs. The room was large, clean, and had a variety of amenities. There was even a small terrace where I could smoke, a nice plus for smokers. In the morning, breakfast was available right in front of a super cute pastry shop. I’ll definitely stay here again when I return to Naples.

The staff were kind and helpful, but this is just my personal opinion: I didn’t like the B&B and can’t recommend it. The price felt excessive for the area and what we got. I wouldn’t have minded €200 for four nights, but €350 was too much considering the location, street noise, and weak breakfast. The room was noisy, and I barely slept the first night. I finally managed to fall asleep at 3:38 with the earplugs the staff provided, but they didn’t block the car horns and other sounds. With or without them, you could hear everything. It was a real nightmare. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable too. They gave us only one pillow per person, so just two in total, and I still have back and neck pain. Breakfast at the bar was meager, just one drink and one pastry. I couldn’t find the shared kitchen, maybe because it was closed, and we didn’t know how to get in. We were too tired to ask, though we should have. It would’ve been better if the kitchen had been open from the start, so we didn’t have to approach the staff about every little detail. The bathroom was clean and nicely designed, but there were yellow marks in the shower corners, and the room needs refreshing. The location was disappointing. It felt almost downtown, but it was still a 10-15 minute walk to the central station. After walking 26,000 steps during the day, that last 15 minutes at 10 PM felt like a nightmare. It’s also a 20-minute walk to the Duomo, across streets that seemed dangerous. I stuck to Corso Garibaldi, but it wasn’t pleasant, with cars speeding past. The bus stop was at least a five-minute walk away.

My mother and I had a wonderful stay at B&B A'Casarella. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and well equipped. We’re grateful to the owners for their hospitality and extreme kindness. We recommend it to everyone. See you soon!
