b&b annunziata dream

The only bright spot was the cleaning lady, who was friendly and polite and made us feel a little at home. Even so, our room wasn’t cleaned at all during the three days we stayed, and the sheets and towels were already dirty when we arrived. The B&B’s description said luggage storage was available, but when we asked, they said there wasn’t any and that maybe the concierge could keep our bags. That felt really unprofessional. Breakfast was also a letdown: the online photos suggested a range of snacks, but there was nothing when we arrived. The room and property were in very poor condition. Noisy sounds from next door kept us from sleeping, the bathroom was dirty and shower water leaked now and then. The bathroom light fixture, soap dish, and toothbrush holder were rusty, and the carpet was torn and dirty. There wasn’t even a towel hook or a complimentary toiletries kit. The location also felt very unpleasant and unsettling as soon as we arrived, with people looking at us suspiciously and an unwelcoming atmosphere. We didn’t feel safe or relaxed there.

The room was cold, with a faulty split unit and no radiator in the bathroom, and the coffee machine didn't work. When we came back on the first day, the bed hadn't been made and the bathroom was dirty. There were even blood marks on the pillowcase and bed rail. Antonio showed us the room quickly when we arrived, but said we couldn't leave our bags in storage, despite that service being listed on Booking.com. We had to pay €16 to store them at the train station. I have to leave a terrible review. I’d avoid this place completely, and I’m not sure the all-positive reviews are really verified.

Titina, the owner's aunt, kept the place exceptionally clean, and the owner was welcoming, friendly, and always available to help. The bedrooms are bright and roomy, with TVs, wardrobes, electric shutters, and air conditioning; one bathroom has a modern hydromassage shower. The open living area has a TV and a comfortable sofa, while the kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge stocked with fresh water, an induction stovetop, coffee machine and pods, kettle, microwave, and two separate peninsulas. A really good B&B for a stay in beautiful Naples, especially for groups. Highly recommended.

It's an apartment in a building about a 10-minute walk from Central Station. The neighborhood feels pretty chaotic, and you have to manage four traditional keys to get in and out 😦
